Halloween Fun

I was all "skin and bones" in my skeleton outfit for Halloween this year! I tried to look more scary by borrowing my cousin Haley's witch hat, but I'm not sure that I was able to pull it off. After stopping by to "scare" great aunt Bev and uncle Jr., I headed to Grandma and Grandpa's for post-holiday vittles and conversation.

At the office with Daddy

I did some pre-Halloween networking at Daddy's office on October 29th. I had many important meetings with Snoopy, Woodstock, and Moose and was always on the lookout for new contacts. It was a busy day, but I did manage to take a "patty-cake" break!

Daddy sure tickled my funny bone here! I have no idea what "sproing, sproing" means, but it sure was funny!!

Another monthly birthday

It's true...I'm 7 months old today! Teddy Bear seems to be shrinking more and more every month. Maybe I'll start secretly sharing my peas with him. I don't really like them all that much anyway...shh don't tell mama or daddy!

Enjoying Autumn

Wee...I got to test drive the playground equipment in our backyard today. It was lots of fun sliding and hanging around in the fort. What a great Fall day!

I'd rather have Rice Krispies

Apparently, I'm a "big girl" now and got to try my hand (and face) at some rice cereal (not to be confused with Rice Krispies, daddy)! I'm not really sure what I think of the so-called rice cereal, but mama said I'll get to try some other yummy foods like sweet potatoes soon. I want to know...when will I get to try the Rice Krispies?

The Big 0-6 Months

Yet another month older! Man, I am growing so quickly!!! Mama bought me a comfy new fleece outfit. It's so warm and cozy...mama says it makes me even MORE cuddly (imagine!).

Just a Swingin'

With a week of swingin' under my belt, I decided to go "no hands" today. Wee!!! It was lots of fun...even when mama said I better hold on. Safety first!

Two-fers

Look closely...I've got TEETH! My first one came in September 3rd (that's the one that you can see in the photo) and I already have another one! Mama calls them my two-fers. She's funny!

"Camping" at the North Shore

Over Labor Day weekend Isabel enjoyed her first camping experience at the North Shore. Okay, so we actually stayed at the Best Western in Grand Marais. However, we did VISIT the campground where the rest of Tom's family was staying. This is an annual Labor Day weekend trip that Tom's family has enjoyed for many years. Isabel seemed to really enjoy the sound and movement of Lake Superior and even dug her feet into the sand...er rocks...on the beach.

All things Panda

Isabel celebrated her 5 month birthday with new pink Panda jammies and decided to keep in "theme" the rest of the day by donning a striped Panda jumpsuit.

Sleepytime...I don't think so

So, I wasn't actually trying to put her down to sleep in this photo, but it is a good re-enactment of what Isabel occasionally does when trying to put her down for naps. Needless to say, it's hard to "make" her take a nap when she beams one of those smiles!

Water aerobics with Daddy

And a 1 and a 2....Isabel gets a real workout during bathtime splishing and splashing around. Usually, mommy and daddy are just about as wet as Isabel when the "workout" is over!

Diggin' the improved view

There's a whole other world to see now that Isabel is taking full advantage of her stroller amenities. She enjoys going outdoors and gets a big grin on her face when asked if she'd like to go outside.

I'll huff and I'll puff...or just use my legs

Those chubby legs are more than meets the eye -- they're STRONG! Isabel was playing on her playmat (aka jungle gym) and used those muscular limbs to tip it over. She took it all in stride and seems to enjoy her new game of "tip the gym".

Age progression -- 1...2...3...4 months.

Jelly Belly...the beginning

Jelly Belly...that's the affectionate nickname I would sing to little Isabel during those first weeks after she was born. "Isabellie, Isabellie...you're my jelly belly." Over and over. It's no wonder that she slept so good...she'd do anything to get mama to stop singing another verse of that "song". While I've made up some newer songs and sung a few of the tried and true (i.e. varying melodies of Twinkle, Twinkle), the sleep-inducing Jelly Belly lyrics are a classical favorite.
